Wondershare DVD to iPhone Converter is a DVD ripper. It was designed to make the conversion of DVD movies to formats that can be played on the iPhone an easy task. And it really accomplishes that. The fact that it is one of the most sold apps by Wondershare speaks wonders of how useful this application can be.
Basically, this ripper allows you to insert your DVD movie and convert any title in it or the whole disk into a computer file that will be played natively on the iPhone. There is support for the iPhone 3G, 3GS, and 4. The application uses conversion profiles specifically tweaked for better performance on those devices, but it can also convert your movie to standard MP4, MOV, and M4V files.
There are two things that I like about this converter. First, it limits its output formats to formats that are native to the iPhone. I have seen converters and rippers with the name iPhone on it with an incredible list of output formats. And that is just confusing to the user who can't tell one format from the other. Another thing that I like is that you can rip the 5 channels from a DVD audio track and keep it on your converted file. Not all the formats support this, but it is nice to have the option to do it, even though the iPhone won't play more than 2 channels.
